A Story From Cannon Beach
Dear Prayer Team,
RESCUE had an incredible week of ministry, hard work, and even had some time to enjoy the beautiful Oregon Coast. Wonderful messages were delivered by Dr. Ron Cline ( see www.hcjb.com ) all week long at the Cannon Beach Conference Center!
Dr. Ron Cline shares from The Gospel of Luke and from his many experiences in Missionary work
The responses to our Tuesday night concert and the daily sessions were truly overwhelming. People really appreciated the music and message that the Lord allowed us to bring. We gained many contacts and some sweet friendships!

One amazing story that we got to be a part of was of a man whose wife had been paralyzed by the epidural she received during the delivery of their baby. She became very depressed and committed suicide. Her father followed suit a short time later. The man gave his baby to his parents and headed west on a trip through Oregon where he was planning to end his own life. As he was passing through the Mt. Hood area he went across a bridge with train tracks. He decided he was going to jump from the bridge and as he stood there, he looked down and saw two books sitting in the tracks. He picked them up and discovered one was a Bible that had tabs throughout, marking the promises of God. The other book was a book about the promises of God. He picked up the books and decided to head for the coast. A family who was attending the conference was at the beach and saw this gentleman and decided to talk to him about Jesus. He gave his heart to Jesus that day and attended the morning session the next day. The praise and worship, our songs, and Ron’s message all just seemed to line up to be an extra encouragement to this man. We are so happy for both he and his baby that he is now serving Christ!!!
No matter how dark the situations of life can become, Jesus is always the answer. He is not the pat answer, or the easy answer, but He is the RIGHT answer! Aren’t you glad that God showed us the light of His unmerited favor? Do you know anyone who could use some of that light directed their way? We have nothing to lose but our ego, but they have everything to gain!

Hey Brian,
How goes it? My family really enjoyed seeing you all in Eugene in August. I've never seen my dad respond to music the way he had to yours that day. Hope all is well. Can't wait till the new album gets released. Hoping to see you all again before the year is up. Peace & Blessings
Bekah
